Exelab builds custom, AI-powered solutions, each one tailor-made to a client's specific business objective. We run every engagement like a small product effort: we start from a real problem and craft a solution to move a real metric (revenue, efficiency, conversion, retention). We work in small, tight teams, close to the client's business, and we use AI directly in how we design and build. What matters to us is the impact we create for clients.

The Value Builder does what a Product Builder does, and leads a team while doing it. On our larger engagements, the ones that need a team, the Value Builder designs the solution, builds where it counts, and guides the small group that ships it. Working with our revenue team to shape the direction that creates value for the client, the Value Builder owns bringing it to life: on scope, on budget, on time, at quality. It is a builder's role first, with leadership alongside it, leading by doing and by clarity.

Key Responsibilities

The Value Builder owns the outcome of a larger engagement and leads the team that delivers it. The core responsibilities:

• Own the outcome end to end: Take the direction shaped with the revenue team and be accountable for the result: a solution that answers the need, within scope, budget, and time. The Value Builder owns the how and the quality.

• Design, and build where it counts: Design the solution and stay hands-on enough to make excellent calls and to prototype, putting hands where they add the most value and delegating the rest.

• Lead the team that ships: Guide a small delivery team (a Solution Architect and specialists) to the result. Set clear goals, keep everyone on the rails, unblock, and hold the quality bar, leading by clarity and example.

• Keep it grounded in the real need: Stay close to what the client actually needs and make sure the team builds to that, catching drift early.

• Make it hold up: Put the work in front of real usage, find what falls short, and drive it to a product that does the job well.

In summary, the Value Builder is a maker who leads: product judgment and the ability to build, plus the leadership to bring a team to a real result. It is the role for someone who has shipped their own work and taken teams through complex delivery.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Our ideal Value Builder has the Product Builder core and has led teams to deliver. There is no need to match every line: the essentials are a record of building and shipping, and of leading delivery.

• A track record of shipping: Products or tools they personally built and put in front of users (side-projects count). We ask to see something they made.

• Building with AI, and product judgment: They can turn a direction into a working product and make pragmatic calls on how to build it well.

• Team leadership with results: They have taken complex projects home with a small team, on time, on budget, with a happy client, leading by clarity and example.

• Learning agility: Every engagement is different; they get competent quickly and they are comfortable with ambiguity.

• Practical: Native or C2-level Italian, and based in Italy. We value a track record of delivery and the things they have built.
